Argonne National Lab: Game Changing Science and Technology; A behind the scenes tour of Argonne National Laboratory
Led by top Argonne experts, this tour will include several unique research areas and user facilities throughout this expansive campus. You'll explore the Advanced Photon Source (APS), the Advanced Powertrain Research Facility, and Argonne's visualization laboratory, where groundbreaking simulations—from blood flow to the explosion of a star—are displayed on a 24 million pixel sixteen-foot-long screen.

Parking: Attendees will park at our Argonne Information Center/Visitor Reception Center which is located off Northgate Road. Public Transportation: There is no direct public transportation to Argonne. PACE bus #715 provides connections between Westmont Metra Station and Argonne only in the morning and evening on weekdays. For details, please consult the PACE schedule. Access: Attendees will meet the tour escort at our Argonne Information Center/Visitor Reception Center which is located off Northgate Road. A photo I.D., such as driver’s license is required for everyone 16 years and older. Gate passes will not be issued without a photo I.D. Everyone must prominently display their pass while on site and all vehicles entering the site are subject to search. Security Information or Pre-Lab Attendee Screening: Yes. We must know if attendees are U.S. citizens. We will need up to three weeks to process non-citizens for access to the laboratory.
