Labs bring together small groups for an exclusive, first-hand look into what happens behind the scenes at some of the most innovative companies, community leaders and institutions around Chicago.
Cook County Jail is the largest jail in the entire country. At this Lab, take a look behind the criminal justice system during a tour of the jail’s oldest division, which opened in 1929. Participants will then visit Division 11, where they’ll learn how the facilities operate and observe programming designed to give those in custody skills to help them when they are released from custody.
*Attendees must be 21 or older and submit a scanned copy of a government ID two weeks in advance. Wear modest clothing without any flashy jewelry. No cell phones will be allowed inside. Late arrivals will not be let in.
