Labs bring together small groups for an exclusive, first-hand look into what happens behind the scenes at some of the most innovative companies, community leaders and institutions around Chicago.
Join Grammy-nominated artist Brandon Markell Holmes and Chicago spacemakers Mobocratic Republic at historic Gravity Studios for a Lab that looks at how life translates into music. Get hands-on time with instruments and recording tools as you learn about producing music that makes an impact. Enjoy a performance by Holmes, called “a near-indescribable spectacle” by the Chicago Tribune, and take part in a Q&A afterward. Whether or not you’re a musician yourself, you’ll come away with a new appreciation for how you can relate music to your life experiences.
