    Conversation
Conversations are panel discussions that provide an in-depth, up-to-the-minute look at a single topic. Featuring three to four thought leaders and an expert moderator, Conversations consist of a 60-minute discussion, followed by 15 minutes of audience q-and-a.

For every dollar a white family has, a black family has a little over a nickel. With this harsh disparity in place, what does the black middle class look like and where does it fit in? In this collaborative program with the documentary, Against All Odds: A Fight for a Black Middle Class, we’ll sit down with filmmakers and stakeholders to explore the often heroic efforts of black families to pursue the American Dream in the face of unrelenting barriers. What does it mean to be middle class for black families in Chicago, and can the American Dream be redefined?
