ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE SPECIAL EVENT -
The Artist-in-Residence program is designed to engage and expose the city of Chicago to a local emerging artist or organization through the creation of a public art installation.
Chicago’s history is intertwined with that of blues music, and this Portal connection will showcase just that. Eddie Taylor, Jr. and Harmonica Hinds will perform a stripped-down blues concert for an audience in Kigali, Rwanda, forging a connection between the two cities that’s sure to inspire both locations. Stay tuned for more information on our participating artists.

Connection Duration with Kigali, Rwanda: Three hours. One hour of program, followed by two hours of Open Hours. To reserve a spot for open hours, fill out the form below.
