Columbia College Chicago Fashion Studies: Plastic Bag Fashion

    Monday, Oct 13, 2014 5:30 - 8:30 PM @ Columbia College Chicago
This event is over! Please check the 2017 schedule.
    Lab
Labs bring together small groups for an exclusive, first-hand look into what happens behind the scenes at some of the most innovative companies, community leaders and institutions around Chicago.

Reduce, reuse, recycle. Make your impact on the environment by turning grocery bags into fashion. Columbia College Professor and textile designer Beth Shorrock will provide advice, experience and her well-trained eye for fashion as you transform plastic bags into fashion-forward (and eco-friendly) handbags, skirts and more at this hands-on Lab.

*Participants are encouraged to “reduce, reuse and recycle” by collecting and bringing plastic bags. You must be 14 or over to attend this Lab.
