ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE SPECIAL EVENT -
The Artist-in-Residence program is designed to engage and expose the city of Chicago to a local emerging artist or organization through the creation of a public art installation.
Members of Chicago Ideas Week’s YOU(th) program will have the chance to meet other children their age in El Progreso, Honduras at this Portal connection. The two groups will exchange ideas and experiences, and discover the similarities and differences between each other’s cultures over the course of an hour. The following two hours will be open to the public.
*For the exception of Open Hours, Portal programs are not ticketed events. Stop by the Portal in Daley Plaza to watch this live.
Connection Duration with El Progreso, Honduras: Three hours. One hour of program, followed by two hours of Open Hours. To reserve a spot for open hours, fill out the form below.
