Energizing Our Future at Argonne National Laboratory

    Friday, Oct 16, 2015 9:00 - 12:00 PM @ Argonne National Laboratory
This event is over! Please check the 2017 schedule.
Labs bring together small groups for an exclusive, first-hand look into what happens behind the scenes at some of the most innovative companies, community leaders and institutions around Chicago.

America’s oldest national laboratory, Argonne developed the first nuclear reactor—the research that almost every commercial reactor worldwide is based on today. With the race to energy independence underway, Argonne scientists continue their groundbreaking work in the field of nuclear energy. With George Crabtree, the director of the Joint Center for Energy Storage Research, you’ll take a behind-the-scenes tour of the world-class facility, get a peek into America’s energy future and look at the strides we’ve taken toward living in a battery-powered world.

*You must be 15 or over to attend. You must have valid ID and arrive 10 minutes early. Wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Do not wear sleeveless shirts.
