This event is over! Please check the 2021 schedule.
IDEAS DAY - Ideas Day is our premier, daylong event designed to spark action at the moment of inspiration. Attendees will experience moving talks and performances in the morning, and, in the afternoon, have the opportunity to participate in action-based volunteer projects throughout Chicago.

Join us for Ideas Day. A new event designed to empower Chicagoans to take action at the moment of inspiration to contribute to a more thriving and joyous city for us all. On Friday afternoon, we'll go together with Chicago Cares to Englewood, North Lawndale, or Bronzeville to connect with and learn from those who know the community best. We'll cap the day by giving back to these communities through volunteerism. Community Projects include sharing brand-building techniques with young creatives, urban gardening to assist with fresh food supply in local schools, beautifying vacant spaces to encourage community gathering, and more. See the full list of projects below, and learn more about them and the organizations here:

The afternoon session begins at 11am, at which time you'll select your community and project on a first come, first served basis. Busses will depart from Harris Theater promptly at 11:45am.
