Ideas Day is our premier, daylong event designed to spark action at the moment of inspiration. Attendees will experience moving talks and performances in the morning, and, in the afternoon, have the opportunity to participate in action-based volunteer projects throughout Chicago.

What if you could take action in a Chicago community at the moment of inspiration? Our re-imagined premier event, Ideas Day is an all-new experience that will give you a day to focus specifically on driving positive change in Chicago.

During the morning session, take part in a program that will activate your senses and leave you feeling inspired. Hear from visionaries who are fighting for a better future and see groundbreaking performances that create ideas you can feel. After the onstage program, you’ll have an opportunity to take action at the moment of inspiration with the help of Chicago Cares, an organization dedicated to transforming citizens into active participants for change through volunteerism. Together, we'll go to Englewood, Bronzeville, or North Lawndale to participate in community activities with a local organization. The afternoon will begin with lunch with community members, where you will hear from local neighborhood docents who will share the history of their community area and how they see the future.

Lunch will be provided by sweetgreen. sweetgreen is on a mission to connect people to real food. Their shared values around transparency, sustainability and empowering local communities through their impact initiatives have given way to this collaboration. We are excited to partner with sweetgreen to provide all full day participants of Ideas Day a complimentary sweetgreen lunch.

Please note this ticket admits you to both the morning and afternoon portions of Ideas Day. To purchase a ticket for the morning session only, visit https://www.chicagoideas.com/events/ideas-day
