Open Source Furniture: Enzo Mari Workshop with Chicago Design Museum

    Tuesday, Oct 13, 2015 6:00 - 8:00 PM @ Chicago Design Museum
This event is over! Please check the 2021 schedule.
LAB - Labs bring together small groups for an exclusive, first-hand look into what happens behind the scenes at some of the most innovative companies, community leaders and institutions around Chicago.

In 1974, Enzo Mari published a do-it-yourself guide to furniture making that taught a generation how to build their own functional, practical and beautiful pieces using only rough boards and nails. Now 40 years later, join Chicago Design Museum Founder Tanner Woodford for a lesson in the basics of furniture building, Enzo Mari style. You’ll leave with a chair you built yourself and a new appreciation for the design, materials and plans behind every piece in your house.
