Ounce of Prevention: Inspiring What’s Possible: Creating the Next Generation of Big Thinkers

    Saturday, Oct 19, 2013 10:30 - 12:00 PM @ Educare
This event is over! Please check the 2021 schedule.
LAB - Labs bring together small groups for an exclusive, first-hand look into what happens behind the scenes at some of the most innovative companies, community leaders and institutions around Chicago.

To ignite big ideas, the Ounce of Prevention Fund believes in starting small -- and early. That’s how the Ounce helps young children become the innovators needed to change the world. Participants will see how early experiences shape the circuitry of children’s developing brains and become fuel for creativity and ideas.

Hosted By: Chaunda Roseborough-Smith, Vice President of Communications

Parking: The entrance for the Family Center annex is on State St. There is street parking on the West side of State Street. There is also ample street parking on Wabash Avenue, near the main entrance. Public Transportation: The building is closest to the 51st St. stop on the Green line. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the 47th St. Red line stop, so I would advise taking the 47th street or State St. bus from the Red Line. Access: The entrance for the Family Center annex is on State St. You will enter through the back end of the building and get buzzed in. The main entrance is at 5044 South Wabash Avenue. You will be buzzed in, and will have to sign in at the security desk. Security Information or Pre-Lab Attendee Screening: Attendees will be buzzed in, and will have to sign in at the security desk. Photo and Video Restrictions: Photos and video OK Dress Code: None Age Restriction: 12 and older Handicap Accessible: Yes
