Lurie Children’s Hospital: A Day in the Life of the Transport Team

    Tuesday, Oct 18, 2016 3:30 - 5:00 PM @ Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago
This event is over! Please check the 2019 schedule.
LAB - Labs bring together small groups for an exclusive, first-hand look into what happens behind the scenes at some of the most innovative companies, community leaders and institutions around Chicago.

Join Lurie Children’s Transport Team as they simulate a day in the life of transporting critically ill children to the hospital. At this one-of-a-kind CIW Lab, you’ll get a hands-on look at the path that patients use, from arrival in the ambulance bay the the trauma and treatment rooms. Attendees will watch a simulation training in the hospital’s Emergency Department used to prepare staff for critical care procedures and witness an overview of the whole program with a brief video clip from the WGN-TV Medical Watch special that aired last February. Walk away from this with an intimate understanding of all of the parts that fall into place when a child in critical condition is transported to Lurie Children’s.

*Must be 18 years or older to attend.
