YOUTH LAB -
Reserved for CIW YOU(th), Youth Labs bring together small groups of students for an exclusive, first-hand look into what happens behind the scenes at some of the most innovative companies, community leaders and institutions around Chicago.
Ever played with a band? Looks fun, right? Well, at the School of Rock Instant Rock Lab that's exactly what you'll do! Highly skilled instructors will show you how to play a simplified version of a hit song on bass, guitar, keyboards, drums and vocals - followed by your very own jam session. In addition to the band jam, we will also have a table set up with a dis-assembled electric guitar for young people to see the inner workings of. With guitar technicians on hand, kids will be able to ask questions, and apply what they learn to draw "The Guitar of The Future" on our easel with markers. Anything is possible! Who knows, you could design the next Stratocaster or Les Paul!
