Get a peek into the restoration of one of the Art Institute's masterpieces, Gustave Caillebotte’s "Paris Street; Rainy Day". Join conservator Faye Wrubel for a talk offering insight into her meticulous cleaning and conservation of the piece, and hear from assistant paintings conservator Kelly Keegan on the technical discoveries found while examining the painting. Get a chance to view the painting in the galleries, then experience the conservation process first hand as Faye and Kelly take you behind-the-scenes into the museum’s conservation labs. After the lab, you're invited to join the Evening Associates, the Art Institute's young professional member group, for happy hour in the Modern Wing. *You must be 21 or over to attend.
