LAB -
Labs bring together small groups for an exclusive, first-hand look into what happens behind the scenes at some of the most innovative companies, community leaders and institutions around Chicago.
Peterson Garden Project started as the transformation of one empty lot into a pop-up victory garden in 2010. Today, it’s a movement hundreds of urban gardeners strong—and it’s one that aims to change the way we all approach food. Founder and President LaManda Joy will help you prepare a lunch in their new Community Cooking School, where you’ll explore how even a home-cooked meal can have big economic, cultural and personal impacts. You’ll make homemade condiments, and take a jar of your own homemade salad dressing back with you.
*You must wear long pants and closed toe shoes.
