    When is Chicago Ideas Week?

Chicago Ideas Week is October 12-17, 2019. But we’re more than just a week. Join us all year long for monthly events.

Who can I contact if I require accessiblity services?

If you require wheelchair accessibility, please notify us of your needs at tickets@chicagoideas.com or at 312-906-7419 once you have successfully registered. If you have other accessibility or health considerations, you may also notify us, and we will work to accommodate you.

Talks, Labs, Conversations, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner—with over 150 events to choose from, where should I start?

The average Chicago Ideas Week attendee goes to three to five events and signs up for a mix of Talks, intimate Conversations and hands-on Labs. So, where should you look first?

    • Talks are 90-minute, electrifying events, each featuring four to six exceptional speakers presenting compelling ideas around a particular theme. Our evening Talks during CIW are our most popular, with world-renowned thought leaders delving into topics like Creative Process, Politics and Entrepreneurship.
    • Conversations are hour-long programs featuring two to four speakers who provide an in-depth, up-to-the-minute look at timely and provocative topics with an opportunity for audience Q&A. Past topics have ranged from Immigration to Women’s Rights, Design Thinking to the Art of the Pitch.
    • For a small-group experience, we suggest Labs, which take you behind-the-scenes at Chicago organizations including IDEO, Ignite Glass, Lifeway Foods, Millennium Park and more.
    • Finally, at Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, you join an intimate group of the intellectually curious at a themed dinner hosted by a surprise guest—anyone from author Thomas Dyja to musician Jon Batiste.

The week is over, now what?

Chicago Ideas is more than a week. Attend events, explore content, and connect with community members all year long.

How much does it cost to attend?

We want all of Chicago, the Midwest and beyond to participate in our community of curiosity. For this reason, tickets to most events are just $15. Know a nonproft community organization who should have access to Chicago Ideas programming? Email lindsay@chicagoideas.com to learn how to get involved.

When do tickets go on sale?

Check chicagoideas.com/attend for the most up-to-date ticket availability. Tickets tend to sell out quickly, so act fast!
