    Strategic Partnerships Coordinator

    Chicago Ideas is looking for a Strategic Partnerships Coordinator who will support the Director of Strategic Partnerships, Strategic Partnerships Manager and Director of Membership in building Chicago Ideas’ reputation as a top convener of global thinkers and innovators.

    The Strategic Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the department's entire portfolio, which is inclusive of major gifts, corporate partnerships, memberships, grant solicitations and in-kind resources.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Coordinate and manage the schedule of the Director of Strategic Partnerships with sponsors, prospective sponsors, board members, Chicago Ideas team members and others;
    • Assist in planning and executing various events throughout the year including sending invites, tracking RSVP’s, securing venues, helping onsite to coordinate details of event and working with outside event professionals to ensure the success of our events;
    • Communicate regularly with key contacts at partner companies;
    • Work with team book keeper to ensure invoices are sent in a timely manner;
    • Fill out required forms for granting entities;
    • Use Excel spreadsheets to track critical information;
    • Update a salesforce.com database (previous experience with salesforce.com is not necessary);
    • Finalize PowerPoint presentations and proposals;
    • Update repository of proposals, agreements and other relevant sponsorship information;
    • Assist in the planning and execution of sponsorship and marketing campaigns;
    • Assist with day-to-day communication with members, sponsors, prospective sponsors, board members and other members of the Chicago Ideas team;
    • Assist in tracking data related to membership and sponsors;
    • Organize logo and trademark collection from sponsors, work with internal team to create and manage print materials and seek sponsor approvals;
    • Collaborate on new initiatives for fundraising and membership drives;

     

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

    • At least two years demonstrated experience in the field of fundraising, corporate partnerships or major gift development, preferred.
    • Exemplary project management, organizational, speaking, and writing skills;
    • Proficiency in Salesforce and PowerPoint;
    • Commitment to the mission and values of Chicago Ideas;
    • A strong work ethic.
