Giles Duley worked as an editorial photographer in the fashion and music industries in both the US and Europe, but from 2000 he focused his work on documenting humanitarian projects and the effects of conflict on civilians. His work has been published worldwide in many respected publications including Vogue, GQ, Esquire, Rolling Stones, Sunday Times and New Statesman. In 2011 he was severely injured by an IED while on patrol with a US Forces in Afghanistan. As a result of the explosion he lost both legs and his left arm. He is currently in rehab and remains determined to return to work.
