James Warren is the Chicago Editor for The Daily Beast/Newsweek. He is a National Correspondent for The Atlantic and an analyst for MSNBC. Warren is a former founder and columnist for the Chicago News Cooperative, which produced local content for the New York Times. He is also the Former Managing Editor and Washington Bureau Chief of that Chicago Tribune. Warren is the winner of the 2011 Education Writers Association Award for columns and 2011 Annie E. Casey Foundation Medal for commentary on children and families in a bleak economy.
