    Robert J. Sampson is Henry Ford II Professor of the Social Sciences at Harvard University and Director of the Social Sciences at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. He is President of the American Society of Criminology, fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences. Professor Sampson?s most recent book?Great American City: Chicago and the Enduring Neighborhood Effect?was published in February 2012 by the University of Chicago Press.
