Formerly a visual effects artist for films like Avatar and Finding Dory, Allen Hemberger is the creator of The Alinea Project website, where he prepared every single one of the complex recipes from the Alinea cookbook. It went viral, spawned a book, and led to an unexpected turn in his career. He is now director of media for the Alinea Group, which built and operates Alinea, Next, and The Aviary.
