    Ana Navarro

    Political Commentator

    Ana Navarro was born in Nicaragua. In 1980, she and her family immigrated to the U.S. and settled in Miami, Florida. Today, Navarro is a recognized expert on U.S. politics, Hispanic issues and Latin American affairs. In 1998, she served on Gov. Jeb Bush’s transition team and as his first director of Immigration Policy and Hispanic Affairs in the Executive Office of the Governor. In 2001, she served as Ambassador to the United Nation’s Human Rights Commission in Geneva, Switzerland where she was part of the successful effort to condemn Cuba for human rights violations. She served as the National Chair of John McCain’s Hispanic Advisory Council and was a national surrogate for the McCain 2008 campaign. She is a political commentator with ABC, CNN and CNN en Español, more commonly referred to as a TV talking head.
