    Anne Libera

Director of Comedy Studies, Columbia College Chicago & The Second City

Heather Caruso is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Second Science Project—an innovator in learning programs, intersecting behavioral science with improvisational practice to cultivate the interpersonal skills needed in today’s workplace. This initiative has evolved in line with her multifaceted work as a faculty member at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Fascinated by interpersonal dynamics she observed for years while helping to grow a multinational e-commerce startup, Caruso left her position as Director of Engineering in 2003 to head to Harvard for her doctorate in Organizational Behavior and Social Psychology—training she now uses to follow her passion of helping people to grow, inspire themselves and one another, and collaborate effectively. As Executive Director of the Center for Decision Research at Chicago Booth, Heather oversees a diverse suite of cutting-edge behavioral research programs, and offers variety of classes in leadership, choice architecture, team dynamics and influence.
