    Ayanna Howard, Ph.D., is an endowed professor in the School of ECE at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She also holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at Zyrobotics. She received her B.S. in Engineering from Brown University and her M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. from the University of Southern California. Her area of research addresses robot autonomy and their interaction with humans and the surrounding environment. This work, which has resulted in over 200 peer-reviewed publications, has been highlighted through a number of awards and articles, including USA Today, Upscale, and TIME Magazine, as well as being recognized as one of the "23 Most Powerful Women Engineers In the World" by Business Insider.
