    Beau Beaudoin,

Professor of Media & Cultural Analysis, Columbia College
    11868

Beau Basel Beaudoin, Ph.D. is the Carnegie Foundation 2008 U.S. Professor of the Year for the state of Illinois and a distinguished teaching fellow at Columbia College Chicago. She holds a doctorate in multicultural learning and media analysis. She has presented papers and workshops at scores of conferences in the United States and internationally on issues of race and gender equity and media analysis through a multicultural lens, and she has published in both media education and diversity journals. Beaudoin believes that dialogue across different races is only possible with self-reflection, and that examining media as a key influence of one’s ideologies about difference must be included in that introspection.
