    Cameron Esposito

    Standup Comic, Actor and Writer

    Cameron Esposito is a stand-up comic, actor, and writer. She’s the creator of the hour of comedy Rape Jokes, which has been called “blistering, masterful, tragic, hilarious” by New York magazine. Self-financed, the hour is being offered online for free, while she encourages viewers to donate to RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization.

    She is also the creator of two prior stand-up specials, Marriage Material and Same Sex Symbol, which debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts and was named best comedy album of 2014 by numerous outlets, including the AV Club and Consequence of Sound. She has been named a comic to watch by the New York Times, Variety, the Guardian, LA Weekly, Jezebel, and many other outlets, and hosts her own weekly stand-up show, Put Your Hands Together, at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles.

    Esposito is also the co-creator and co-star of the TV series Take My Wife and has made memorable appearances on such shows as Maron, Drunk History, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, and Comedy Bang Bang. She hosts the podcast Queery, which explores individual stories of identity, personality, and the shifting cultural matrix around gender, sexuality, and civil rights; and is the author of a book of essays, forthcoming from Grand Central Publishing.
