    Celeste Headlee

Award-winning journalist; Host, "On Second Thought"

Celeste Headlee is an award-winning journalist and the host of Georgia Public Radio's “On Second Thought.” Headlee began working as a public radio journalist in 1999, and went on to host the shows “Tell Me More,” “Talk of the Nation,” “All Things Considered," “Weekend Edition” and "The Takeaway," in addition to appearing on PBS World, CNN, the BBC, and elsewhere. In 2015, she gave the viral TEDx Talk "Ten Ways to Have Better Conversations," which was named the #1 must-watch TED talk for every recruiter and hiring manager by Glassdoor.

Throughout her career, Headlee has interviewed hundreds of people from all walks of life, and has learned the true power of conversation to both bridge gaps or deepen wounds. In a time when conversations are often minimized to a few words in a text message and lack of meaningful communication and connection abounds, Headlee sheds a much-needed light on the lost and essential art of conversation.
