Enectali Figueroa-Feliciano is a world expert in the search for dark matter. Born in Puerto Rico, he received his Ph.D. in physics from Stanford University. He worked at NASA as an astrophysicist and later as an assistant professor at MIT, where he received the prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER award for his work on dark matter detectors. He is currently an associate professor at Northwestern University, where he leads two groups searching for dark matter.
