    Professor of Political Science, Rutgers University

    Eric Davis, Ph.D University of Chicago, is professor of political science at Rutgers University and former director of its Center for Middle Eastern Studies. His most recent book is "Memories of State: Politics", "History and Collective Identity in Iraq" (University of California Press). He is currently completing "Taking Democracy Seriously in Iraq" which is under contract with Cambridge University Press. Davis regularly lectures at the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute and presents in Arabic on al-Jazeera Television.
