    Jose Antonio Vargas is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, an Emmy-nominated filmmaker, author of the best-selling book Dear America, and the founder and CEO of Define American. He has worked as a reporter for such publications as the Washington Post, Huffington Post, and San Francisco Chronicle, and his writing has also appeared in the New York Times Magazine, Time, Rolling Stone, and the New Yorker. Currently subject to deportation at any time, he has no permanent residence.
