    With 50 years in public service, Ray Kelly is one of the world’s most highly esteemed law enforcement leaders. A 43-year veteran of the NYPD, Kelly served in 25 different commands before being named police commissioner in 1992. After being appointed again in January 2002, Kelly became the longest serving NYPD commissioner. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Kelly retired from the Marine Corps Reserves with the rank of colonel after 30 years of service. Kelly holds degrees from Manhattan College, St. John’s University School of Law, New York University Graduate School of Law and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
