    Rula Jebreal is an Italo-Palestinian journalist, novelist, and screenwriter. She was born in Haifa, Israel, and grew up in Jerusalem, coming of age during the first Palestinian uprising in the 1980s. After earning her master’s degree in Italy, Jebreal became the first foreign anchorwoman in the history of Italian television. She has received numerous accolades, including the highest award in journalism, the International Ischia Award for Best Journalist. Currently, Jebreal is a foreign policy contributor for "MSNBC."
