    Scott Heimendinger is the director of Applied Research at Modernist Cuisine, a culinary research lab and publisher of the world’s most acclaimed books on the science of cooking. He is also the co-founder of Sansaire, a home sous vide machine that set a new Kickstarter funding record when it launched in 2013. In 2012, Scott was named one of Forbes 30 Under 30 in the Food & Wine category. Prior to his work in culinary science, Scott was a program manager at Microsoft on the Business Intelligence team.
