ThinkChicago gives you the tools and connections necessary to launch your career in Chicago. The program provides outstanding college students with a VIP tour of Chicago’s fast-growing tech scene, connects them with leaders of innovative companies and gives them free admission to Chicago's premier events: Chicago Ideas Week and Lollapalooza. Launched in 2011 by Mayor Emanuel, Chicago Ideas Week (CIW) and University of Illinois, ThinkChicago is a collaboration between Mayor Emanuel, Chicago Ideas, the University of Illinois, World Business Chicago and 1871.
From July 30 to August 2, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Chicago Ideas, the University of Illinois, World Business Chicago and 1871 invite top university students to take a behind-the-scenes tour of Chicago’s fast growing tech scene. ThinkChicago attendees will have a chance to tour innovative companies, meet industry leaders and gain free admission to Lollapalooza.
