    Ivy Tzur

    Director of Strategic Partnerships

    What inspires Ivy?

Meaningful civic engagement, outdoor adventures, DIY projects, and dancing in the kitchen with her kiddo.

As Strategic Partnerships Director, Ivy is responsible for identifying and building effective relationships with sponsors, contributors, and other relevant stakeholders.

Prior to joining Chicago Ideas, Ivy worked in each of the public, private, and startup sectors. She most recently consulted for The Chicago Council on Global Affairs to develop content and establish partnerships with top tier institutions for the inaugural Chicago Forum on Global Cities. As an urban planner that has worked in Vancouver, New York City, and San Francisco, Ivy’s project work includes the planning of Whistler’s Athletes’ Village for the 2010 Winter Olympics, strategic planning for California High Speed Rail, and managing numerous community development projects.

Ivy is particularly interested in how people are shaped by their physical and cultural environments, and she’s excited to be a part of the Chicago Ideas team because of its focus on community participation. Ivy graduated from Pitzer College and received her Masters in Urban Planning from the University of British Columbia.
