    What Inspires You? *New places, new people, old friends and a great Greek meal that includes all of the above.* Gabrielle is the Director of Programming for Chicago Ideas, where she leads development of high-quality programs and speakers from around the globe that address the range of issues vital to Chicago’s diverse community. Gabrielle comes to CIW from New York where she was the Director of Planning for Tina Brown Live Media and worked on the Women in the World Summits – international convenings of women leaders, activists and change-makers – in NYC, London and New Delhi. Her extensive experience in television includes building and overseeing the planning department for Fusion, a start-up venture between ABC News and Univision aimed at millennials, and editorial producing for CNN International’s award-winning daily news program Amanpour. Before CNN, Gabrielle produced for PBS’s Need to Know. She was Co-Executive Producer for two documentaries at Anker Productions, and Senior Producer for The Al Franken Show on Air America radio network and Sundance Channel. Gabrielle began her career at Minnesota Public Radio as Senior Producer for Midmorning, a daily news program, and Associate Producer for American Public Media’s Peabody Award winning music series American Mavericks. Gabrielle has a BFA in Theater from New York University. Her volunteer work includes Live from the New York Public Library and Animal Haven Shelter of New York City.
