    Rina is the Editorial Director at Chicago Ideas, leading the organization’s editorial vision as they continue to develop premium, yet accessible programming for the city of Chicago, ensuring that each event is in line with the organization’s mission to present meaningful content from world-class thought leaders to a diverse audience.

    Rina is a book industry and events professional with over twenty years of experience working with best-selling authors, intellectuals, artists, political leaders, and global activists and a commitment to delivering impactful and culturally diverse programming to live events. Prior to Chicago Ideas, Rina was the Director of Programming at the Chicago Humanities Festival, with notable bookings ranging from Tom Hanks and James Comey to Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei. Prior to CHF, Rina worked as Authors Group Coordinator for the Union League Club. Rina’s previous positions in trade and university press publishing include positions at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where she was Publicity Director, Trade and Reference Division, and Director of Publicity at the University of Chicago Press.
