Carrie Kennedy has spent her career producing public, large-scale and unique, first time events. Her roots are in theater and live performance, where she began as a stage manager and lighting designer. Her creativity blends perfectly with her experience in overseeing complex projects involving multiple venues, teams, timelines and budgets. Carrie Kennedy redefines what you can expect in an executive producer.
Given the diversity of her projects, Carrie brings with her an incredibly vast knowledge base and experience that is rare. She works with the best teams in the business and is always looking for the most efficient and creative ways to get the job done and exceed expectations.
Carrie has produced events such as: 2011/2012 Chicago Ideas Week, 2012/2013 PCMA Convening Leaders, TEDxMidwest, IOC Evaluation Commission’s visit to Chicago and the Chicago 2016 Bid Committee’s final presentation in Copenhagen, 2007 AIBA World Boxing Championship Athlete Procession up State Street and the Championship’s Opening Ceremony held at The Chicago Theatre, The Prilosec OTC Bunco World Championship, DePaul University’s Commencement Ceremonies, Harley-Davidson’s 105th Anniversary Celebration, and an array of corporate events and conferences.
Other large-scale public event credits include: Taste of Chicago, the Chicago Blues Festival, the Chicago Air and Water Show, Chicago Jazz Festival, Viva Chicago, Chicago Celtic Festival and Looptopia (an all night arts festival).
