Panel Discussion The Power of Black Women

After their individual interviews, the members of the “A Seat at the Table: Finding Equal Footing Through Storytelling” Talk join host Robin Givhan for a panel discussion on being visible as successful black women, their responsibility as role models and what stories move them. From rocking big hair (“the bigger the hair, the better” is Welteroth’s motto) to promoting designers who are women of color, they also discuss how their personal style can be a form of activism and a source of empowerment. Finally, they talk about how the hopes and struggles of their ancestors are with them and how they take that energy forward to make the world a better place for the future generation.
